Featuring Simplicity Patterns that Can be Made from Flour Sacks
This 24 page booklet is a vintage treasure from the late 1940s. These booklets were printed by Flour Companies that focused on patterns that could be made from the cloth of a feedsack (or flour sack). This was a popular way that people made clothes during the depression and WWII era. Flour companies caught on in the 1930s that people used their one yard bags to make simple garments and they began printing pretty floral designs onto their sacks. This became such a cultural touchstone that people continued to make floursack patterns well into the 50s, 60s and 70s.
