1960s Vintage Vogart Hot Iron Transfer 2004-D
Embroidery Transfers
Traditional Jacobean Crewel Designs
Factory Folded and Unused Printed in Blue Ink
This is a stunning large transfer done in the crewel style. I just love these transfers, they look amazing at the end. This one is unmarked and did not come in an envelope. It is marked 2004-A so I know that it came from these larger packs of Vogart crewel transfer, the number indicates which pack it was from and the letter is page in the pack.
There are nearly always found individually with the envelope packs lost to time. They are printed in blue and red ink, this one is printed in blue ink.
This is a nifty peek into the closets of the past. It features a classic crewel Jacobean motifs but with a 1960s flare to make the perfect antique style pillow or other project.
I researched the crewel or Jacobean designs and found that crewel has been done since the dark ages and was very popular in Victorian times.
